feedback from a parent:
Hello Rajan,
How have you been? We are OK. My daughter Prise, is
studying hard for her 'O' s this year. We would like to
inform you that Prise has gained much confidence after
attending your NLP class. She blossomed. In fact for the
last 2 months, she had quite a hectic schedule including
emceeing on the occasion of the visit of the First Lady.
On another time, she was the emcee when the Ag, Minister
of State for Ed. dropped by for the official opening of
the Balestier Hill Sec Sch. "project cabin". Last Sat.
she was chosen as one of the announcers for the school
speech day. Her Principal and teachers congratulated her
on her fine performance. To top it all, she participated
in the inter-school debate where the school won 2 of the
3 outings, finally losing to the finalist. She won 2
best speaker award in the process. Yesterday, she was
officially conferred the 7th best overall best speaker of the
'C' division interschool debate, with schools like ACS,
St. Margaret, Tg Katong etc. in this group. She is over
the moon, her best accolade till date. There maybe more
to come. Let's wait and see.
Thanks and regards,

I am Gina, a
former student of Dare To Excel(2004). I found the
course highly empowering and motivating.
Before joining this programme, I was
generally an introvert, with low self
esteem. I
have now totally changed my self esteem and
have become a positive and happy person. I
now know that I have been held back by my
own limiting beliefs. Mr. Rajan has always
been a wonderful mentor to me ever since.
Whenever I have any problems I always
consult him for advice. Over the past five
years have taken two diplomas
with distinction.Thank you Mr.Rajan for changing me to a better person - Gina Leow

I was very skeptical
about attending this workshop at first. However
attending this workshop really made a difference to me.
I learnt more about how our brain functions, how
to set goals and follow them through as well as
super learning skills. I now know that we have all the
resources we need to achieve our goals and that
limitations are only set by us. The most
important principle I learnt was the " As If Now
" principle. I also learnt how to give public
speaking and impromptu speeches in front
of an audience confidently. We were very shy at
first but very quickly we came out of our
shells......I definitely encourage others
like us to attend this workshop as it really
changes you a lot. Yeah ! three cheers to
Mr. Rajan ! - Prise Ho Fei Fang 16

I am Liming. I
took the Dare to Excel course in 2004. Recently
I obtained my GCE (O Level) with good grades . Thanks to you I have
become one of the top speakers in my school. I was
asked by the school principal to join our school
debate team. Your workshop gave me the confidence
needed to take on an important role as the
chairman of my school entrepreneur club. Aaron 13 years, 2004

Over the last two
days I have learnt a lot about our mind. Now I
understand that mind is a powerful tool in
everything we do. The knowledge I have
gained will certainly drive me to towards
achieving my goals. I realise now how
important it is to set specific, realistic and
measurable goals with a definite time frame I
know that success is a journey and not a
destination and that it cannot be achieved with
our hands in our pockets. I have certainly
benefited from this course and would not
hesitate in recommending this course to others
like me. -

This course truly
helped to develop my self confidence. I have
spent a lot to money attending other courses and
they did not make an impact in my life as this
course did. This course totally changed me and
my way of thinking. I was negative and under
confident before. Not any more as I have all the
power within me to succeed. I will recommend
this course to all my cousins and friends.
Thanks to uncle Rajan - he made a significant
difference in my life.

I learnt about many
things in this course. I now know that the
attention span of the brain is about 20 minutes
only and that only one thought can be can be
held at any time. Setting SMART goals , use of
memory pegs and SQ3R study skills
are really useful tools which takes into
consideration how the brain process information.
Public Speaking and social skills are the other
subjects which are very beneficial. I
sincerely recommend this course to anyone who
wants to excel. - Joshua Ho 13 years

Initially
I did not want to attend this course as I
thought it is another one of those courses
claiming to change one's life. Mr Rajan invited
me to try out his course for one day with no
obligation and come on the second day if I find
the course useful. Am I glad I came ? You
bet, I would regret it had I not turned up. I
learnt a lot about my brain and how to take
charge of my life. I have attended many
courses before but nothing like this NLP based
training believed to be the first in Singapore
for teens .I will apply these skills and
achieve my goals. I sincerely recommend this
course to every one. Thank
you Coach Rajan.- Shireen Ahmad 17 years, Poly Student

I really benefited
from this course. I would like to thank our
Coach
Rajan for his dedicated and enthusiastic
teaching. There was a lot of fun and laugher. I
learnt many things from this two day course but
most important of them was developing my
confidence. I used to shiver when I had to
do a speech in front of an audience. We
learnt how to deliver a speech without having
any fear with confidence. I dare to give a
speech now in front of a class with
confidence. The most interesting thing I learnt
about in this course is the " eye movement"
chart. I hope that all teenagers will take up
this course to develop their hidden potentials. - Ashley Yuen 15 years |

This course taught
me many things I did not know before like how to
be sociable, how to make an impromptu speech and
deliver speeches with confidence. I also have a
better understanding of how to use mind mapping
although I learnt this subject before. I have
mastered the art of goal setting and
making use of your mind's imagination drive you
towards your dreams. This course is value for
money as it is really inexpensive compared
to many other courses I have
attended. I would encourage anyone to join
this course to develop their full
potential. - Thevviya Rani 14 years |

This NLP course
taught me how to use my brain correctly to
achieve my goals. I learnt study techniques.,
mind mapping , memory techniques and public
speaking. My confidence and self esteem also
improved very much. If in two days I can improve
so much by removing my limiting beliefs I have
no doubt that I can achieve my goals by applying
the skills I learnt. Thank you Major Rajan for
boosting my self confidence. I urge all
students to attend this course -

If somebody asked me
to deliver this speech in front of you two days
ago I wouldn't have dared. Thanks to the
course here I am standing in front of you
delivering this speech. This course is
uniquely different from other courses as it
focuses a lot on our mind and how we can excel
in life in all areas - education, leadership,
social skills, and communication skills. Before
I did not know how to set goals and follow
through with an action plan. While other
courses may be good this course is a MUST for
everyone. So go for it!! -

a fathers day message from Rajan's son
Hi Dad,
Just realised that it's been
so long since I've written one of these Father's Day
cards. Hence I thought I should go back in time and
write you a card like I used to. I've never thanked you
enough for the wonderful 22 years I've had with you.
From the early days where I used to wait for the animal
shadows you'd make with your hands on our bedroom wall to the stories about Indian men running
around in "bed sheets". Even until today, your tales
(fact or fiction), never fails to amuse me. But what's close to my
heart, is all the love you show and give us by working
ever so hard to provide to the family. And with all that
you do and have gone through, you never fail to motivate
us to do our very best in life, whatever our pursuits
might be. If you never knew , now
know that you've been a great dad to the both of us and that
we love you....
Happy Father's Day 2002 !

feedback from a full time academic:
I have had the pleasure of knowing Major Rajan for
almost twelve years now. He has been a source of
inspiration and support to my family. He has had a
very positive influence on both my children. Major
Rajan has the knack of interacting with teenagers
in a sensitive way that ensures a positive outcome.
He takes time to understand their particular problems
and is able to alleviate a lot of their anxieties
through his positive mentoring. He never talks down
to teens but demonstrates his genuine engagement with
their difficulties, thus endorsing their
self-esteem. This is an invaluable asset in my
opinion. One of his great strengths is the passion
and unfailing enthusiasm he brings to his mentoring.
He does not do things in half-measures. This deep
engagement with teenagers guarantees his success with
them. My children are very fond of him and owe a lot of their success to his guidance and ! help.

a note from a former medical intern whom Rajan
guided 7 years ago
Dear Rajan,
I'm really happy to hear
that you've finally got into the thing that you've
been so passionate about all these years. I logged
onto your website and seeing all those photographs
brought a heap of memories flooding back. I remember
the time almost ten years ago, when I had just
graduated and starting work as an intern, being
influenced by a considerable amount of negativity and
most of all fear of failure. Meeting with you and just
listening to what you said - 'failure is an event, not
a person', 'you are what you think you are' and I
remember you introducing me to "Awaken the Giant
Within". I suppose its not only what you said but you
said it with so much passion that really perked my
interest. All of these had a tremendous impact on my
attitude. I've had failures but most importantly your
encouragement to 'visualise and see myself achieving
what I want' kept me going. In 1996, I saw myself
achieving my immediate goals of passing the exams I
had set out to do and start a new life Down Under.
In 2000, we arrived here
and were not looking back. I suppose the thing that
I'm most grateful to you for is your opening up to me
the concept that 'you're not stuck with what you are,
you can change' and seeing the world of opportunities
that start with changing one's attitude. I would like
to wish you all the best in this 'journey' that you
have embarked!
Cheers!

an
encouraging note from a sister
My dear
brother, I am very
pleased to note that your dream has come true , setting
up your own motivational training consultancy after all
these 20 years of motivating family members and
relatives.... I saw you on Channel 5 ,The Good Times on
20th May 2004 where you once again reiterated your
passion to help others ......I know that the word
'retirement' is not in your vocabulary.
........Would
you believe it - when I did my Royal College Membership
exams in London - I was almost
touching 50years!!! - a good 20 years older than all the
others. And even now, I can't remember the name for
the technique - I still use the 'finger-thumb trigger'
you taught me before each and every presentation I make.
You have changed the course of my life completely and in
your constant, sometimes - sorry to say this - nagging
way, helped me become what I am today. I do hope you
will be able to guide others, hopefully much younger
people, and
introduce them to the simple principles you taught me
that can actually make such a pronounced difference in
one's life.
With loving regards,
Prabha (Dr Prabha Krishnan , MBBS, MD ,
Diplomate NB, MRCpath (UK), DTM&H is the sister of Major Rajan and a former student of Raffles
Girls School ) Dr Prabha has
